JOHN P. INSERRA

John is the managing partner of the Firm and received his law degree from Creighton University in 1976. John is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Nebraska and the United States District Courts for the District of Nebraska and Colorado. His practice emphasizes FELA litigation (representing injured railroad employees) and all other areas of personal injury law.

John and wife, Beth, an interior designer with Beth Putnam Interiors, reside in the Dundee area. They have two children. Jeff is an attorney for the Firm. Heather is a graduate of UNL and works for Ameritrade Corporation.

John's hobbies outside the Firm include all sports, golf, movies, plays, and cooking.


CRAIG L. KELLEY

Craig became a partner with Inserra & Kelley, Attorneys At Law in 1993. Craig received his law degree from Creighton University in 1986 and is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Nebraska and Iowa. Craig's practice emphasizes all of personal injury law, with a large emphasis on motorcycle and bicycle related cases and claims.

Craig and his wife, Kerry, a Deputy Director at STRATCOM Headquarters (Offutt Air Base), reside in the Dundee area of Omaha with their two sons, Christopher and Brendan, and daughter, Caitlin. Christopher attends Colorado State University, Brendan attends Creighton Preparatory High School, and Caitlin attends St. Margaret Mary School.

Craig is also the Owner of Stereo West Auto Toys, the Founder and Principal of Kelley Auto Racing Management Advisors (K.A.R.M.A.), former General Manager of Nebraska Raceway Park (now I-80 Speedway), and former owner of Omaha's long-time NASCAR race track, Sunset Speedway.

Craig also enjoys riding on his Harley Screamin’ Eagle Ultra Classic, Bicycling, golfing, and coaching his daughter’s many sporting activities.

Craig, and Inserra & Kelley, are designated legal counsel of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.), the Nebraska State H.O.G. Rally, and are also the designated legal counsel for most motorcycle chapters in the surrounding area. A list of these chapters includes, but is not limited to:

JIM QUILTY

Field Representative

Jim was elected Vice General Chairman of Union Pacific System Board 106 in 1982 and General Chairman of the same board in 1992. He was reelected as General Chairman in 1994 and 1998 without opposition. He was appointed as Grand Lodge Board of Trustees member by T.C.U. International President Scardeletti in 1998 and reelected to this position in 1999. Jim was appointed to the position of International Vice President on January 1, 2000 and subsequently reelected to his position in 2004. Jim retired from the T.C.U. on August 1, 2006.

Jim was born and raised in Kansas City Kansas.

IVP Jim Quilty retired at the end of July 2006 after 39 years of union leadership. Jim began his rail career on the Union Pacific Railroad in 1969 in Kansas City where he was a member of Lodge 1489. Jim was General Chairman of System Board 106 from 1992 until elected to assume his duties as an IVP in January 2000. He began working as a Field Representative for Inserra & Kelley in November of 2006.


RANDY S. MENDLIK

Medical Paralegal

Randy received his Paralegal degree in 1995 and has been with the Firm since 1996. He is originally from Dodge, Nebraska and has lived in the Omaha area since 1985.

Randy and Eileen, wife of 19 years reside in Elkhorn with their two daughters, Shelby, age 18, a Senior, and Carly, age 16, a Sophomore, who both attend Marian High School in Omaha, NE. Randy enjoys most sports, camping, and spending time with his family.


CHRISTINA L. KOCH, ACP

Litigation Paralegal/Trial Practice Specialist

Christina L. Koch, ACP, is an Advanced Certified Paralegal and Trial Practice Specialist. She received her paralegal degree in 1991. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and is a National Dean's List Scholar. Christina joined the firm of Inserra & Kelley in 2002 and has over 20 years experience in the legal field. She is a member of the Nebraska Paralegal Association, the National Association of Legal Assistants, and a paralegal affiliate of the American Association for Justice. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Nebraska Paralegal Association and serves as the President Elect of the Nebraska Paralegal Association and is the Chair of the Seminar Committee, Public Relations Committee/Nebraska State Bar Association Liaison and a member of the Ads and Fundraising Committee and Official Publications Committee. She has previously served as the Nebraska Paralegal Association Liaison to the National Association of Legal Assistants and the Chair of the Public Relations Committee/Nebraska State Bar Association Liaison.

Christi was honored in the Paralegal Superstar Calendar of the nationwide Paralegal Gateway for March of 2008. She was named the 2011 Advocate Capital, Inc./American Association of Justice Paralegal of the Year and will be a guest speaker at this year’s national American Association of Justice Annual Convention in New York. She has been a seminar instructor locally and nationally on various litigation topics, including trial preparation, evidence and exhibits, and document control. Christina was an instructor at the Trial Specialist Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2008. She has authored several articles for various national legal magazines and is the founder of the Nebraska Paralegals list serve. Christi holds advanced paralegal certifications in Trial Practice, Automobile Accidents, Premises Liability, Products Liability, Wrongful Death, Workers' Compensation, Intentional Torts, Medical Malpractice - Individual, Medical Malpractice - Entity, and was the first paralegal in Nebraska to become an Advanced Certified Paralegal in all eight areas of Personal Injury.

Christi and her husband, Allen Koch, reside in Omaha, Nebraska with their toy poodle, Husker, and miniature dachshund, Herbie. She enjoys reading, freelance writing, physical fitness training, swimming, kayaking, and spending time with her husband and dogs.


SHELLY WHITE

Demands Specialist

Shelly has worked for Inserra & Kelley for 10 years, currently working as the firm’s demand specialist. She is a commuter, residing in Fremont with her husband, Rodney, college kids, Ashley and Jake, and their two dogs. Outside the workplace, Shelly enjoys fitness pursuits such as yoga, bicycling, kickboxing, and hiking. She and Rodney camp frequently and also enjoy motorcycling. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband and kids.


JILL LIMAS

Receptionist/Legal Secretary

Jill is receptionist/legal secretary of the Firm. She has been working in the legal field for seventeen years and is currently in transition to the medical field. She has been attending Metropolitan Community College part-time to become an ultrasound technician for the past three years and has made the Dean’s List. Jill joined the firm in August 2006.

Jill is the proud parent of Nathan, who attends a local elementary school. Jill's hobbies outside the Firm include family, camping, outdoor activity, live music, reading, movies, and learning to cook.


SHARON A. KELLEY

Accounting & Billing Manager

Sharon has been working part time at Inserra & Kelley as the Accounting & Billing Manager for 13 years. She, along with her 2 sons, operated Sunset Speedway for 25 years before retiring in the year 2000. She enjoys spending time with her 3 grandchildren and loves to travel and play golf.
